Corrupt Ram Recorder?

We've had a problem with our HD-35 switcher for about the last two weeks which slowly and gradually brings the switcher to a halt. The Tally lights have a delayed response, the Profile stops responding, tape decks loose their protocols until finally the switcher panel goes blank and resets itself.
The director was suspicious of a new animation loop she was using in channel 1 of the Ram Recorder as being the cause of the problems. I wasn't suspicious because the loop appeard to be running perfectly.
Finally, tonight after it going down again, we tested her theory and it looks like she was correct.
With this loop playing in channel 1 of the Ram Recorder, the most immediate problem we see is the Profile not playing and stopping reliably when we hit the buttons. If we stop channel 1 of the Ram Recorder, the Profile responds perfectly every time to the play and stop buttons.
We loaded the same animation loop into channel 2 of the Ram Recorder and played it. The Profile works perfectly without any problems.
What's the best way to go about troubleshooting this problem? Reseat the memory chips? Rearrange them? Replace them?
Thanks,
Darrell
