7250 Auto trans trigger effect run

Hi all,

Just a quick one. I am running a 7250 for Australian Soccer. My problem is that the RUN button is at the very furthest end of the mixer from the cameras and to reach over to hit it for the replay takes longer than I would like.

Is it possible to use either one of the DSK cut/Auto Trans or the ME cut/Auto trans buttons to trigger the effect run. My other problem is that it also has to trigger a GPI for the RTD at the same time. This is currently set up on the effect RUN button. So I guess if I can link something a little closer to me to that button I should be fine.

I have asked for a little external GPI button that I can put anywhere on the mixer but the techs are apparently too busy to make one right now, so I have to find a different solution that can be implemented fairly quickly.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
