Menu panel software on WOA

I know this is a pretty unsual use case but I'm wondering if anyone has gotten the Kayenne menu panel software to run on Windows on ARM using Parallels on an M1 Mac. I think I installed all the drivers it needs (which are availabe for WOA) but the installer won't open (it gives an error message about drivers) and the menu panel software won't do anything, it's as if I didn't try to open it.

I'm hoping someone has had some luck with getting it working even though it's unsopported.

I got it working! Figured i'd post here in case any one else runs into this issue. As counterintuitive as this might be the x86 x64 C++ redistributables work on Arm (didn't try it before because didn't think they would!). Installed those and everything started working.

The menu auditor doesn't work on Windows 11 (yet?) but it comes with the installers you need, so you can download that and just run the microsoft intallers in there.

So in short, don't be scared to install x86 x64 drivers on WOA. Score one for Microsoft? Either way, glad it's working for me now!

Dan, I'm also running the Mac M1 with Windows 10 ARM on Parallels, and was able to get it to work.  It's been a while since I ran the installation package, but I don't recall having any driver issues.  I used V14.5.2, ran the K-Frame installer, and am now able to run the K-Frame Menu and the Frame Simulator.

Thanks Matt,

I'm not sure what I'm doing different. I see it trying to open in task manager but nothing comes up. I tried a new install of Windows too. Is yours running on Windows 11 or 10? Parallels defaults to 11, so maybe that's why? I tried running them as administrator too and that didn't work.

Sorry for the delay, Dan.  I'm currently running Windows 11 Pro, Version 21H2 -- if I'm remembering correctly, I think I was on Windows 10 through Parallels when I did the original installation.  I know you tried a fresh install, but is there any chance that running the installer again to repair the installation helps?

I don't recall running into any issues -- just ran the K-Frame Installer, and installed the menu and frame simulator.  Wish I had better insight to share.

Thanks Matt,

It helps knows that someone has it working but I can't figured out why it's not working for me. I tried downloading the insider preview build from Microsoft and installing that instead of the automatic one but that didn't work either.

I'm not sure who I can ask for help. GV won't support it (and I completely understand why), Microsoft probably won't bother with this given the small user base and I'm pretty sure Parallels doesn't support the OS.

I ran the installer which puts all the files in Program Files(x86), then went to the menu and installed that (which worked) but then when I run the installed menu app nothing happens (but it does show up in process explorer).

I'll keep playing with it and see if I can figure it out, it's a little frustrating though.
