Externally Fed DME tallies

Hello,

We found out recently, that when you combine externally fed DME channels ( ex...5 and 6)...that the first # in the gang passes a tally, (in this case DME #5), but the secondary combined channels don't. ( in this case DME#6). This makes sense based on what Rick said in another post that the switcher doesn't know what the externals are doing.

I assume this is b/c the switcher doesn't pass a combined tally. Anybody have a good work around for this? The easy solution would be to just key channels individually, but I can only get away w/ that on some effects..
