Is there a way to use the Relief effect in the DME and key out the mid-tone and just keep the highlight and shadow of the effect? Here's photoshop analogy: If you create a image using the emboss filter you are left with a 50% grey image with white highlights and black shadows (the same as Relief w/matte). If you change the blend mode to multiply the 50% grey vanishes and you are left with just the effect. I can do work arounds to achieve this, but I was hoping to avoid that. I've tried lum keying but that obviously loses either the highlight or shadow along with the midtone and I've tried applying a color to the matte and then tried a chroma key, but both failed. Thanks.
