While piddling at one of our satellite campuses this afternoon, tried to get the Ross Synergy 1 (SD) to talk to a Grass Valley Turbo.  Communication between the two devices was fine, in that I could rewind, play, etc.  However, when I setup clip recalls (otherwords, goto "This Timecode") the Synergy 1 would keep the correct timecodes, and say that it was cued, but the Turbo would be somewhere else random.  For instance, I restriped TC on a :45min clip with 1:00:00.00, played the tape (through the switcher), select "Grab Timecode" (also tried dialing in TC) and saved my VTR clip.  Would play the clip, then try to recue, and off the Turbo goes to somewhere else.  I set the Turbo up in "Remote BVW" protocol, and told the switcher to treat it as a Betacam VTR, and an Omega FFV, but same results regardless.
Any ideas what might be causing this?  While the Turbo would jump to a random Timecode, it would at least do that consistently.
ThanksBrian
