Crashing Zodiak

I've been doing some shows on a 3 M/E Zodiak, and have been having a problem with the switcher locking-up and crashing.  I believe that the crashes are related to the still-store cache, as it seems if the cache is 50% full or more, the panel locks-up followed by a "blue screen of death" on all of the switcher outputs.  Meticulously managing the cache seems to help, and reduces the frequency of failures.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?  Has anyone else seen this and been able to stop it from happening (without buying a new switcher)?
