Here's a question to all, but I am looking for insight from the 100% freelance people as well. Is going to NAB worth the time away from work and the money?

Hey! Hands up all who are planning on going to NAB this year! What do you say? Should we organize an Editsuite.com evening?? I would be happy to do the legwork. Let me know what you guys think?

That's up to debate. Now I've gone for the last few years and have liked it. I can see where people would not. Is it worth missing work? For me it's a week I can guarantee a break for myself, and still not feel like I'm missing out on work because I'm meeting people and seeing equipment. It may be worth it to go once and then determine if it's your thing. Likes: Ability to meet some of the people that design and build what we work with. Meet fellow TDs and exchange ideas. Week away from work. Plenty of things to do in Vegas. For the most part there's lots of good food in town. Though they're dwindling some of the companies still have cool freebies the first day or two. Dislikes: Convention is simply too big. Bring your walking shoes. It's a sales drive, why do I care to hear about what this stuff can do for a station I don't work for. First few days are so crowded you can't even talk to the people you want to.
