16x9 Conversion numbers

Hi all...

Anybody out there have a pre-done move I can download or the numbers I can enter to aspect convert video from 16x9 to 4x3?

John 4:3 can be thought of as 12:9. Compare with 16:9, and you see that the x-axis is 25% smaller. Therefore, to make 4:3 vision pillarboxed for 16:9 using a DVE, you make x-Size = 0.75 To make 16:9 centre-cut for 4:3, you make x-Size = 1.33333333 Once you've done that, the geometry gives proper circles, but the DVE is 16 units wide, and the display space is only 12 units wide, so the DVE is 1/3 too big (or 4/3 the correct size). So you can then adjust the z-Size by one quarter, or from 1.0 to .75 This "zooms back" the DVE to give 16:9 as a letterbox on a 4:3 program. The same result could be achieved by making the y-Size = 0.75 brad
