I usually don't watch golf. I was watching the end of the NBC coverage yesterday with others. Phil Mickelson's 2nd shot on the 18th was hit from somewhere way into the rough betwen buildings and hundreds of people. They showed a cool aerial to give you reference where he was, before the shot.
He hit the ball and the camera never left him. We never saw the ball at all, or any replay or any aerial to show where the ball didn't go. Turns out it went like 20 yards and hit a tree. As a viewer you never saw anything, can't imagine that no camera had it. Thought it was just kind of bad, not sure if anyone else saw this sequence.
Also like I said I watched like 20 minutes of the coverage I am sure rest of it was great, but I never watched any of it.

The mini catcher was coming from 18tee and couldn't make it down the fairway in time to catch the shot because they let the crowd onto the hole behind Phil. So they had no receive and the blimp was blocked. I wasn't there but I'm working with people who were. Tiffee

Yeah, I noticed that too, and was wondering why we didn't see at least a replay of the aerial shot. I watched a little of it Saturday and about the last hour of it Sunday, and it seemed like good coverage, other than that one glaring omission.
