I just found out that I will have a Profile on my show tomorrow. Can I get a refresher on the basics of recording and playing my animations back? I haven't used one in over a year. From what I remember, you have to create a clip for the show you're doing, then record into that clip. Is that the general idea? Thanks in advance.

IMHO using multiple clips in odetics mode slows recall time too much. There is a huge difference between running the machine in BVW mode and odetics as far as recall time. If you can live with all of your elements being in one long clip then BVW is the way to go.

You will need to decide if you want to lay in one long clip, or do different clips Make sure you are in odetics on the profile config menu. I think in the VDR panel it is file/ new clip/ type in name, and hit record. There are bunch of setup menus, for timecode, record quailty, etc.. If you are using a Lance there is a profile bug with the cueing up of clips using odetics I think, in which case you want to do BVW. Forget the details on this I just know it doesn't work very well.
