Hello all-

I would like to build a timeline where a keyer is always "on" as part of the timeline, meaning if the keyer is off at the time I run it, the keyer would come on, and if the keyer is on at the time I run it, it stays on. I have determined a way to make the keyer toggle on/off each time I run it, but can't find a setting to make the key state persistent. Can you help me find that setting? thanks.

More specifically: Start editing a timeline. INSERT--> EVENT--> Select the ME you want (ME1, ME2, ME3 or PP), ---> TRANSITION---> FADE IN AMOUNT ---> SET AT MAXIMUM ---> The keyer you want to stay in (KEY1, KEY2, KEY3). There you go! Good luck! Scotty A. NYC

I don't use any timelines on the DD switchers, just snapshots and macros but I think you can insert a macro command in the timeline that sets they key fade-in amount to maximum. No matter what the keyer is doing, it will come on. If it is already in, it will stay in. Set the timeline keyframes to ignore the key transition. I'm not sitting in front of a DD right now but in the macro insert a blank command- modify it. Select the ME where the keyer resides, then Transition, then Fade In Amount, then the keyer. I think that's how it goes.
