sony 9100 editor to Abekas switcher interface

I am presently using a 9100 editor to control a Sony DVS-7000 switcher and no problems but I want to substitute the switcher with an Abekas 8150 switcher. I set the switcher with Sony protocol, baud rate, parity, and it does not work. Any ideas? Does anyone know what Sony emulation the 8150 uses?

I spoke with Sony who tell me that I need a BZE9602 Switcher control program which actually uses GVG protocol. They say that will work. Let's hope. you seem to be right John, thanks.
