Just wondering if any of you guys have heard anything about the MVS-8000G? I understand that Sony is discontinuing the MVS-8000A, and will be replacing it with the "G" version to be released at NAB.

Any details available on the changes that "G" will bring us?

Matt

Interesting. Maybe they've got the improved machine control module they've been working on ready to roll. I saw some initial drawings of it a year ago and remember it included a jog wheel and a much more simple method of marking clips via the MC. That would be nice... JH

Hi Matt, I'd heard the "G" Frame was supposed to be a secret until NAB, but it has been demo'd. All I've heard is that each keyer has either its' own resize engine or full DME capability (not sure which) in addition to the normal 8 optional full blown channels of DME. Supposedly there are machine control improvements, etc. Don't know much else... Mike Ser
