This weekend will be my first using clipstore. My question is how similiar is this to a lance/fastforward? Is there an interface box like the lance or a dnf or is the switcher talking directly to the clipstore? I will be on a kalypso HD, I believe it is hooked up with pbus. thanks for the info

Greg, there isn't one that goes there specifically. You might get any of the trucks.
I read that post and it was loaded with information but was still unsure if a lance controls or if it runs directly off the switcher on most trucks (that is how our disk recorder in house communicates but requires a timecode entry to recall video clips) After reading it a second time I guess it could run either way, Maybe I should check with the truck company. greg
Greg it can be controlled through a lance (only in bvw mode) meaning one long clip. It can also talk directly to the switcher through P-bus. In this mode you really need to create clips. I don't believe there is anyway to cue things up through the P-bus to a set time code.. Bill

Greg, If you are using one of the Mobile Television Group trucks then you have a Lance.

Greg, Check out this post in this forum... Clipstore talks P-bus directly. Whether the truck has a lance or dnf it will depend, I would contact the truck company. There is a lot of good info in this forum I think check out some other posts Bill
