Hi, all. I have my first HD show coming up next weekend. I will be on a truck from Dome Productions, though I don't know which one. One of the trucks lists a Spot Box. The other two do not. I looked up a couple old Spot Box threads and feel comfortable with what I will need to do there.

The other two trucks list:
(1) EVS HD LSM-XT 6 Channel Server
(1) EVS HD LSM-XT 4 Channel Server
(2) EVS HD maXS 2 Channel Server
(1) EVS Xfile

This feels like a dumb question even as I type it, but if the words Spot Box are not used in the description, will my interface with the device be any different? I know that Spot Box is an EVS. My guess is that I will get at least one of the two maXS 2 ch devices?
Obviously, as mentioned elsewhere, the Lance controller still does its thing. I'm just thinking further back down the chain, I guess.

Thanks for the input!

Sean
So, how did the show go???
Re: the SpotBox- didn't get to use it. The EVS op didn't make the show and we subbed out with a couple guys using tape decks, so I used the FF. If this was meant as a larger "hey, how'd you do?" I'll repost. Don't want to bore anyone. Here's a public shout out to John Howard who not only fielded a call from me about split feeds, but also took time to check on me the next day! Sean

I have used Dome HD trucks on a couple of occasions. They have the Spotbox software/license for the 2-channel Max. They will reconfigure and set-up this device as a Spotbox with Lance TDC control at the client's request.

Dome usually uses Fast Forwards but I would not know about their HD truck... it doesn't seem from the specs list you list here, that they have a Spot Box onboard this particular truck. You might want to call them and inquire.
