Hi All,m

Anyone ever had a Lance Controller lose a cue in the middle of a show? Doing CFB ths weekend and had a Lance/Clip Store combination that lost a cue. I had run the promo previously in the show so I know it was good. Went looking for the video on the Clip Store and it was still there.

I noticed something odd about the way the clipstore behaves when jogging with the Lance... while turning the knob, the frame number "jumps" back and forth about 5 or 6 frames. Makes it hard to cue up to a specific TC... Anyone else notice this?

I actually still had a cue. It was just the wrong one. The time code did exist on the clip I had recorded into the clipstore. It called up bars on the fill side and black on the key side. As for the frame accuracy issue between the Clip Store and the Lance, I heard that Bill Lance is working on a fix for this. Happy Punching! Scott

Scott, I did have that happen earlier this year on a Mountain Mobile truck running the ClipStore via TDC-100. I can't recall the software versions I had at the time, but I saved my correspondence with both Bill Lance and Douglas with Abekas - let me see if I can dig it up for you. In short, I believe we found it to be a communication issue between the two - but again that was back in Feb. Incidentally, is there still a frame accuracy issue between the Lance and ClipStore? JH

Scott, no. Can you describe what happened? Did the Lance tell you "no in point"? Did the Lance go to some random TC?
