I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. We have a Zodiak with the KlipCache option, but I am only allowed to have 108 cache pages. Does this sound right? I am trying to play an animation key/fill, not fenced, for a football segment and everytime I read up the emem to run it the animation will have to recache if I have called up any other still. This animation uses 104 cache pages. Thanks.

Bryan

Thanks for the chroma key suggestion, I'll give it a shot. It looks like the code is entered correctly, it is showing up as available in the Install Options menu. Saying "Yes" in both the Perm and Temp 1 columns.

Bryan, is the software license for the Klip Cache entered? The hardware might be there but not enabled by software license.

I was in the same boat you are when I used the KlipCache to supply video for a replay effect wipe. The fill and matte together were a little more than the still store could handle, so I re-created the effect over blue and used the chroma keyer. That cut the amount of frames in half, and left me more than enough space for the rest of my stills. It still looked decent (the chroma keyer on the Zodiak is pretty good), so that's the route I'd go if it's possible.

The animation is a wipe effect, and unfortunately I don't have a better way or I would play it back from any other method, I hope to appropriate an older Profile in the near future. The animation itself is a second and a half long. I checked the Install Option menu and KlipCache is enabled. Am I missing something?

If you only have 108 pages, you don't have KlipCache. It has a few seconds worth of RAM built in, but KlipCache gives you a lot more than that. Anyway, it's not the greatest way to play back full-screen video for just that reason. Unless you can shorten the video, I'd look for another way to play it back.
