Can anyone explain why the billboard graphic just pops off the screen at end of the read right in the middle of the fadeout? I don't know why, but every time I see that I'm mildly irked by it.
Tom, the only issue is did the sponsors complain? If not, have they paid yet? I hate to say that but in reality unless it costs them a make up or refund I doubt anything would be done. BTW, you and maybe 100 other people might have noticed, everyone else was just watching the game.
You're right. In the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter. My attention to detail as a TD sometimes gets the best of me on things like this.

They definately pop off half way through the fade-out about 90% of the time. I reconfirmed this on the final game of the World Series. Actually I notice that there is a slight audio/video pop as well....almost as if master is hot-switching away from the studio to the direct feed. Like I said I don't know why it irks me but it's something they might want to look into.

Tom I do the MLB on FOX and the Billboards are run from a control room in LA. Sometimes they do a great job at things and sometimes they don't! They like to bug things that don't need bugging and quite frankly it's very distrubing to have "two" of the same MLB on FOX logos on the screen because they feel it necessary to add their bug. It's sloppy in my opinion. As for the BB's popping out... that could be because they don't want to miss a pitch or something, but if there is enough time and there is not time issue they should always dissolve off. But it in most all cases, they are not donein LA except for a select few like stand alone's like Budweiser which are done at the remote venue.
