I'm curious about how this particular effect was accomplished... It's kinda hard to explain, but it was like an EVS rollout, only each "clip" had its own graphic and it was like they were all being moved around by a DVE with some animation effects in the mix as well. It was definitely something done on the fly because the clips were from the game and the last graphic was the current score. Is this a VizRT effect or is there more to it than that?

Stephan... I'm not sure how ESPN is accomplishing this, but I do know that the VizRT can do exactly what you are describing. We just started horsing around with the internal DVEs on the Viz units, and I think it is going to open quite a few doors for us to do things just like this. The only downside that we've found is that if you are using 'warp' functions, there is about an 18 frame delay ... so much for running SOTs through the Viz, huh? Hopefully, that will be addressable with new software somewhere down the road. Matt
