One of our LCD Panels, the access buttons, and knobs are locked out, you can still navigate through menus via the touchscreen. Is there a lockout I can't find that may have been triggered? Everything should be working, like I said, I have full functionality, but with out the buttons and knobs (setting keys is so much fun typing in the number for each setting).... I've even gone to the extreme of powerdown/reboots, in the hope of resetting my initial status settings, but to no avail.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike/Allan thanks..that was exactly it. I also learned how to do a "normal...ie..auto select".. split key from the GUI...always did it from the panel like Sean was talking about. looks like the "split " button in the keyer menu is like a xpoint hold for the keysignal on that key bus.. Pretty cool ( I know..it doesn't take much) thanks again to all. Curt

Hi Curt, Try a self key. Then, once the video and key are the same identical source, change the key selection to a split key. Then change the fill to whatever source you want. The key signal stays as is. I think that's what you're looking for... Mike

Hello, maybe have your eng dept swap modules? We had a problem here w/ one of our switchers...also w/ M/E 1...where the flexipad and also the keyer snapshot LCD's go blank. Swapping the keyer/transition module w/ M/E 2's..didn't fix the problem, but it atleast told us that the keyer/trans module was good. Since we are on an 8000...we don't have keyer knobs on the panel...so I guess check to make sure your panels are swapable.. -Curt

I really hope Brian can get it figured out too! It's the LCD panel on my switcher, ME/1. I secretly think he disabled it to mess with me...but maybe not.
No upgrade, and double checked cable.... bw
Also try checking the connections to the network hubs that are connected to your system. I've had strange things happen, and power cycling the hub cleared-up the issue on occasion, and other times found that someone had been working in a rack, and an RJ-45 connector wasn't snapped-in all the way. Just curious ... what may have changed right before you noticed this? Was anyone working in the Engineering menu, or did network data-flow get disrupted at some point that might have contributed to this? I'm thinking that maybe if you create a "bread-crumb trail", you might be able to trace this back. Somewhat related, I had an intermittent LCD lock-up a few versions of software ago on our prior switcher, the DVS-9000. It seemed to be related to how much of the frame memory was being used ... if I got anywhere close to 1/2 capacity, I started having lock-up problems. Unlike what you've described, it was a full lock-up for us ... buttons and GUI. Best of luck, and please let us know if you figure it out! Matt

B
Did you recently upgrade software? If so, did you do the required ALL CLEAR? I have heard of something similar happening. Also, check the physical cable connected to the menu panel and the back of its power supply RE
