Hello

We're rehearsing for a big New Years show and are having some problems.

In the gallery we have 2 positions for VMs (TDs) one of which has the main 3 bank sony panel for cutting the show, and one with has a 1 bank panel which takes control of a designated bank from the main panel for a VM2 to run effects, switch projector feeds etc.

The VM2 position also has it's own flexipad with 4 banks of 24 buttons. This panel always recalls shotboxes and cannot be switched to recall macros/snapshots etc.

In the past this has always worked fine, and when a shotbox is saved on the satellite panel it appears on the main mixer's flexipad and vice-versa.

Today, however the flexipad systems are not speaking to one another - if a shotbox is saved on the satellite panel it is not able to be recalled on the main mixer and vice-versa.

Any suggestions anyone?

Right, have found a bit of a work around, although it's not as elegant as the way the mixer used to function. Have added ME2 to the 10 key region so that I can save ME2 snapshots on the satellite panel. If I save them here, it will then let me recall ME2 snapshots via shotboxes on the satellite flexipad.
Don't mean to sound too basic but please make sure your Flexipads are in Shotbox mode on both panels (if that's what you're trying to do). If that's not it, I'm sorry I misunderstood.
Hiya Rick Don't worry about being too basic. Any advice is more than welcome. Are you asking if 'shotbox' is selected beside the flexipad on the main panel (as opposed to macro etc)? If so the answer is yes. The flexipad on the satellite panel does not have this option - it is always set to shotbox. I'm sure that the satellite's flexipad is in shotbox mode as it's the names of shotboxes that are appearing on it rather than snapshots/effects/macros etc. When you look at shotboxes on the the flexipad on the main mixer there are different shotboxes with different names saved into numbers already taken up by shotboxes on the satellite panel. The way the mixer used to work was that when you saved a snapshot on the satellite panel it would pop up in the same shotbox number and would have the same name on the flexipads on the main mixer. Likewise if a shotbox was made on the main mixer it would pop up on the satellite's flexipad - same number same name. This meant that from the satellite flexipad effects and snapshots could be built on ME1,2 and 3 by building them on the satellite (ME1), using the copy/swap menu to copy them into either of the other 2 banks, saving them as snapshots on the main panel and then into shotboxes which would pop up in the satellite's flexipad. This is no longer working, and even if I build an (eg) ME2 effect on the main mixer, then save it into (eg) snapshot 5 and then add ME2 snapshot 5 into a shotbox on the satellite panel it will not recall it. It eill let me add the snapshot to the shotbox but nothing happens when it is recalled. This has changed after maintenance by sony so I'm thinking (hoping) that it's a settings thing rather than a fault. Basically for this programme I'm looking to be able to recall snapshots from the satellite's flexipad on both ME1 (easy as this is what the satellite is) and on ME2 without having to first recall snapshots to ME1 and copying them into ME2. Thank you for your response and if you have any other thoughts they would be most welcome. Cheers Morag

If that's not it, I'm sorry I misunderstood. Snapshots & KF effects are processor based. Meaning that the data from SS and KF will always be available to any panel that's connected to the same processor. Shotbox and Macros are panel based meaning that they only show up on the panel that made them. Now I don't know why they would have shown up before, unless someone copied them (which you can do, by the way). RE
