We are running the 8k with three sony xdcam hd players hooked up to it. The problem is I can't get one of the decks to cue up when recalling an effect.
I set the timecode on two of the machines to cue up to a certain timecode. When I recall the effect, one of the machines cues up, the other does not. When I highlight the corresponding button of the machine that does not cue on the device control panel and then hit cue, the clip cues up. I tried making an effect that just cues up the machine I am having trouble with and the same thing happens. I recall the effect, nothing. I hit cue on the device control panel and hit cues up. Thoughts?

thanks guys, I think I have it figured out. I set the start tc, then set duration and it seems to work just fine.
When you build the effect and you set your "rewind action" does the action insert the first keyframe? If not, then you you may have to insert it yourself. Make sure when you build the effect that you are selecting the correct device number through out the building process. I know I forget to change it from time to time.
Along the lines of this, try building using cue up and play rather then timeline in device menu.

In the device menu are you building it under cueup and play or under timeline? Workaround for now is macro recall, may also narrow down the problem. Go into offline macro, cue, device #, timecode

both devices are highlighted and the 10 button assignments are correct. I should also mention that I have 6 effects saved using both devices. In all cases, when I recall the effect, one device cues up, the other does not. When I hit the cue button, the stubborn device always cues up to the proper timecode. I can get through a show this way, but it's just not right.

Are both devices highlighted when saving the effect?... double check your 10-button assignments, make sure the devices are where the labels on the switcher are. (Page 7321.7)
