Has anyone else attempted to create a long clip in V15 (720p)? I had an animation where the loop point was 16 sec 18 frames. I was able to 'Record', 'Keep', and 'Loop' this clip with no difficulties. In theory, I was able to 'Save' the clip as well. When loading the saved clip, however, the result was a garbled image. Shorter clips, and even clips that were created in V14 played back fine. I didn't have enough time to play with what the maximum working clip length was. I'll try a few experiments this weekend.

On the positive side, with the new software it is significantly quicker to record a fresh clip than it is to load a saved one.

Thanks Ed. Your work-around is a great idea, probably better than the problem it is avoiding. I'll add it to my Show Reset this weekend. It has been a few years since I saw you last, I hope all is well. I appreciate having someone like you working at the GV lab. Take care, Seth

Seth: I am in the lab at Grass Valley testing software and I was able to reproduce this. I will check in to it more and enter it as a bug. I'd say, for now, that you might have to re-record the clip each time you get to a truck. The good news is that now (as you mentioned above) you can record then loop the image without the lengthy process of saving it. You might want to set up an emem that recalls your clip on your DDR (Spotbox I assume) so you can record it again quickly in the event of a power failure. You could also include a macro that routs the Still Store, starts the DDR and puts the SS into record mode. This would be a lot faster than loading it from disk anyway. Hope this helps, Ed
