This has surfaced and Im surprised no one on the forum has mentioned it yet. Apparently someone just posted it last week sometime. Its the buzz at the local tv stations around here.
The Conan thing was super funny, its the only time I have actually laughed while Conan was on the screen, this video was disturbing...it was a "say it aint so" moment for me when I saw the nicest guy in television (perceivably) turn into a jerk...and afterwards, it didnt bother me. It was more funny than disturbing in the end. I still respect him, Im still gonna watch and try to out-nickname him. Funny thing is, when we get new floor crew, I train them not to move around alot when the weather person is doign the weather at the CK because they are freestyling and dont have a script to look at and get back on track, so I can relate to Berman's gripe. I try to keep my floor crew from becoming distractions.

Anyone ever been in that crews shoes? Ive never been a distraction but I have witnessed some. I worked with a guy in Milwaukee at the local CBS who had no problem answering his cell phone mid-newscast (not durin commercials) and talking like he was walking in the grocery store not in the middle of a live show. He would answer the phone and his reply to the caller would be "nothing much, just at work." Mind you this was the floor director. Nothing much, just at work, try in the middle of a newscast call you back. He took a few too many calls, anchors were pissed and his "services were no longer required."
