Hi all.

Using a GVG 3000.

The positioner only seems to work on ME1. Do I need to go through some kind of menu system to activate the positioner on ME2 and 3?

Also, can't seem to activate a chroma key on ME3. Again, some kind of configuration required to do this?

Thanks in advance!

If ME 1 keyer 2 has a chroma key module but no other keyer has one, you CAN NOT copy the ME that has a CK keyer to another ME. There has to be a physical card installed on the keyer. You can power the frame down and move a card BUT if the keyers on ME do not have CK cards you will never be able to chroma key on them. I have seen some of the older 3k's have issues with the positioner, your workaround is a good way to do it.

Thanks for the info. In reference to chroma key, I did an ME copy, but no luck on ME3 for chorma key. I also messed around with the ME settings to try to clone ME 1 and 2 for chroma key...no luck. Also, I know what you are saying about selecting the positioner's ME destination. It doesn't work (at least on the board I am using). However, I was able to take something I positioned on ME1, and copy the ME to 2 and 3, and it worked just fine. Weird.

On a 3k chroma keyers were an optional card. If a keyer does not allow you to select a CK on that keyer it means that there isn't a CK card. You should be able to open the frame up and see where the chroma key cards are located. There is also a menu, sorry forget where now, that will tell you what cards are installed. As far as the wipe positioner, on the control panel near the joystick, should be a selector that allows you to select what ME you are working on. Remember, certain wipes do not allow you to position them.
