This weekend I was trying to put together a two-keyframe effect on a Kayak DPM timeline. I didn't want the effect to play as soon as I recalled the timeline, so I put a pause on the first keyframe. However, everytime I recalled the effect, it played out immediately anyway.

As a workaround, I duplicated the first keyframe and added it to the beginning of the timeline with a one-frame duration, putting the pause on the second keyframe. This essentially made the effect perform as I wanted it.

Is there a step I missed or is this some sort of bug? Thanks in advance for any insight!

It was definitely the "Auto Run" setting. Conveniently not shown on the timeline or the save/recall menu. Thanks everyone! Also, now that thing timeline isn't automatically running, I don't need that unnecessary pause on the first keyframe.

If you put in a "user wait" then trigger it with the "enter" button when you want it to run. I always set the me the way I want it like I am saving a snap shot then go into edit and put in my user waits and triggers as if I was building a timeline.

Is there a trigger on your emem? If so, that could explain it.

Hi! Try to disable "Auto Run" but then you'll have to hit run for all effects
