Has anyone been able to get a Doremi V1D and an 8000g to work as an effects DDR. We can get the switcher to recall a specific clip but not at a specific time code entry. The other issue is we can't trim clips.

Our facility is having a tough time getting the V1D to behave like an EVS. Of course I'm sure we got exactly what we paid for. Arrrgggh

Thanks,
Dave

Arrrgggh Thanks, Dave[/quote] We use a V1HD with an 8K with machine control, but it will not recall clips it will only recall timecode. We manually recall a TD clip of transitions before the show. When you change the DDR to louth and reboot (as said by doremi) the 8K will not recognize it, will not display clip name, nothing. Not sure if these are the same DDR's, but what protocol are you using on the Doremi? Not sure if you can hard edit clips, I know you can make segments but don't think you can recall segments through the switcher

Hi Dave: How are you? Long time no speak! This may not be related, but I did use a Doremi on a Sony 7K in Egypt a few years back. It worked perfectly through RS-422 machine control. The obvious is to have the engineers double check the 9 pin protocol. If that fails, maybe you should contact Doremi directly and speak with their support people. Here is some contact information for them Doremi Labs, Inc. Worldwide Headquarters 1020 Chestnut St. Burbank, CA 91506 U.S.A. tel. 1 818-562 1101 fax. 1 818-562 1109 info@doremilabs.com Best regards - I hope to be able to catch up with you again soon. Take care. Rick.
