Clipstore Communication W/ DCU???

Can I control a Clipstore via Pbus on an 8000g with serial communication through the DCU or do I need to plug in the clipstore into the switcher mainframe???

I have ID'd both devices but can't seem to get communication..any help would be appreciated

Mike....if you have the VTR module with the timecode display you don't need a lance. You can build device control macros and off you go...very cool and one less box in the system. Jason

Thanks Jedi, Turns out the RS-422 cables were not wired as straight trough..so after some re-soldering things are working great...and yes we have the VTR module installed...but since we are using the clipstore in P-bus I have to use the shuttle wheel :( Maybe a lance controller will be on the next wish list Michael Nice

Mike..yes you can control the clipstore via P-bus. Make sure the DCU settings are for VTR not VDCP and make sure you have chosen the right port on the DCU for serial connection. We presently have two clipstores and they work great. Do you have the vtr module...it helps as well. Any questions call my cell 310 930 2724 Jason
