We're having trouble feeding the DME from the Aux panel with anything from the shifted part of the panel (second row.) I've tried every combination from the Xpt Shift Mode and Display Shift Mode menus on page 7322.1 for the appropiate table with no luck!

I know I can either change the table or feed it with an M/E which allows the shift row in, but am still scratching my head over the quickest and easiest way via the Aux Panel. For info, I can feed Aux's 1-13 and the FM1+2 inputs fine from the shift panel, it's just the DME inputs!

Cheers in advance

Si

Cheers in advance Si[/quote] Hi Si With the Aux bus panel when you use Aux's 1-13 and the FMS1+2 then the upper row is the unshifted control bus while the lower row is the shifted control control bus. This changes when you decide to control the input to a DME. Now the top row feeds the front side of the DME and the lower row feeds the backside of the DME. By front we mean the side you are looking at and not a fixed physical side, also if you want a different picture on the backside turn on separate side on in menu 4162. I did some training up in Glasgow last year and at one time the ops wanted to disable the shift key on the crosspoint module as they felt that that one extra button saved meant them not using use the shifted row. In this case you can make the display shift button shift all busses on the ME by enabling the function in menu 7322.5 if you are using the main table or 7322.1 if using a sub table. However this mode of operation will not work on the DME Aux panel as there is not a display shift button on this module. The Aux and FMS will still work as you have the lower row, but you will have to use the DME utility way to feed shift sources into the DME Phil
