DME 3000 not accepting keyframes

Hi

My DME 3000 has stopped accepting keyframes (yes, KF Edit Enable is on!). Here's what happens if I'm looking at the timeline and try to add a keyframe:

The timeline initially shows 0/0 keyframes and 00:00 timecode as normal

I insert my first keyframe, nothing happens

I make an XYZ adjustment and insert another keyframe. The blue marker on the timeline jumps forward and the timecode counter changes to 01.00. No keyframes are shown in the timeline though (nor does the orange bar appear) and to the right of the timecode counter it still says 0/0 keyframes.

I hit "rewind" and the XYZ coordinates jump back to the settings on the first keyframe, the timecode counter goes back to 00.00 and the blue marker in the timeline jumps back to the start

I hit "run" and nothing happens (no blue marker progress, no timecode reader change and no xyz motion). The "run" button remains lit, even if I hit "rewind" again. I have to hit "run" again to deselect the run button.

If I deselect the run button, rewind, then hit "delete", the coordinates for my first keyframe disappear and my image moves to the coordinates for my 2nd keyframe (as it would if you deleted the first keyframe in a sequence). The timeline display remains unchanged.

Any ideas?

No luck on deleting keyframes from other registers, I can't actually recall any other register so the problem seems to be more than just timeline-related. I'll try the reset when I can find a tech!

Could it be possible you have used all possible KF's for that channel, there is a limit. Try deleting a used register to release KF's and see if the problem is still there. If that does not work do a bit 1 reset to the CPU-114 board, this will clear all data registers and put the unit in factory condition.

Thanks Phil, but it's a more complicated problem than that If you read my post you'll see I've pointed out the keyframes aren't registering on the timeline at all (timeline continually displays KF 0/0) and the timeline won't run the effect. The "expand" button would not prevent the timeline from running.

In the Timeline window (page 610) on the DME. There's an "expand" button. Hit that. It will expand out the timeline and show you your keyframes. every so often, it just loses its place .... who knows why? Phil

the problem occurs in both local and global and it's only a single channel DME. It seems to me that the keyframe parameters are being saved but not the timeline information, so the keyframes themselves are not represented on the timeline, nor is there a progress bar.

Been a while since I've been on a DME-3000 or a 7000, but this sounds vaguely familiar. Just thinking out-loud ... are you working in local space or global space?? Can you duplicate the same problem in both local and global space? Does is happen in local space on more than one channel? Matt
