Im going to be doing an NAB game on a Sony DVS 7250. Shouldn't be a problem, I'm pretty familiar with this switcher however its got:
Sony DME 3000 digital effects
Sony DME 7000 digital effects

Neither of which I know anything about. Can anyone offer me any tips, tricks, or insight? I believe the truck is going to be Mobile Television Group 14D. I have worked on one of their HD trucks with a Kalypso before but never this one. Any suggestions would be great.

Also, can anyone tell me anything about the Denver Nuggets show?

If anyone wants an electronic version of the brilliant Michael Buday DME manual I do have it. What?s so great about it is that it cross-references the DME with other manufactures DVE's. Phil
The only 7250 that I've used doesn't have either a 3000 or a 7000 however it uses DME 3 and 4 for the fast forward. (or so I've been told) What are the chances that it will be the same on this truck or will DME 3 and 4 be used for the 3000 and 7000. I hope that makes sense.
You should be able to assign what each level can do ... it's been a while since I've been on a 7000, but I think it's in the "Periph" menu. That is where you could define the FF to use "DME 5 & 6", or you could define your channels of DME (like DME-3000 on DME 1 & 2, and DME-7000 on DME 3 & 4).

If you can't find them, I have a PDF of the DME-3000/7000 manual that I'd be happy to e-mail to you. I found the DME to be pretty intuitive when I first used it ...

If it's a DME 7000, you'll find that it runs almost identical to the old GVG Kaleidoscopes. Even the menu structures were almost the same, word-for-word. You might want to see if SONY still has any electronic manuals for these products on their website.

14 is nothing like any of the other MTVG trucks, it was purchased from Juntunen Mobile Television in Minneapolis when FSN North switched from Juntunen to MTVG for production services. Get ready to be very comfortable with the director, it's a straight truck and director, producer and TD are 3 across in the front row. If you can, don't assign any sources to the leftmost 8 buttons or so. As for the gear, can't help sorry, I never cut in that truck, I've just looked at it. I think there are a couple minneapolis TDs around here who can though.
