I am using a 8000A with ver 7.1. Is there a way to loop an effect that controls devices. The switcher will not allow me to turn on the loop feature when device is selected. Doing to loop as a macro does not seem to give a clean loop. Any thoughts? Are there any device controls that might allow a loop to happen?

I believe the Loop feature was designed for use with the EVS. I have seen it work correctly with a EVS with machine control. There are not many DDR's out there that do VDCP no idea if it works with anything else. The only other thing you may be able to do is if you can recall and play a clip and have the device you are controlling be smart enough to do the loop with a playlist for that clip then it would work. In theory I think the K2 profiles will do it. But I have never actually tried it. It would be nice if Sony added some functionality to their machine control beyond talking to an EVS, and beyond VDCP. Most of the other switchers out there at the very least do odetics and a few do AMP as well.
