Couple of questions for you smart Sony users.
I recently was adjusting a DME move, modified a few key frames for a one time use.
Never stored it to the EFF register in which I saved the original.
Now after modifying the EFF, the original has been lost. I tried to delete the EFF from the register then load the original from the HDD and the memory card.
Both places seemed to have the modified EFF.
Again I just modified a keyframe, never stored it or resaved it to HDD. Why can I not get the original?
Is there some sort of Auto store setting on DME?
I see from the manual an Auto store for Frame Memory. The manual says if you select Auto Store on Frame Memory, then it will automatically save the stills to Hard drive.
After selecting this, it never did automatically back up to Hard drive as suggested.
Hope this dilemna makes sense to someone out there.
Cheers

Good morning from Cologne! :) It seems that you are looking for page 7326.2, the "Effect Auto Save". It works exactly as you've described. Turning it off, you have to store your effect manually. By the way, it works for all regions, not only the DME. Another way is to lock your effect registers when you've finished creating them. At first, I was a little bit skeptical about that function, but you learn to love working with it enabled after a few times. Chris

Thanks so much, that poblem was giving me a headache. It totally worked. Btw the page for FM auto store is 7335. I just don't think it works as indicated in manual. If anyone has used this feauture, I would love to know your experience with it and its function.

One question, let's say you modified effect 5, then when you tried to reload effect 5 from HDD were you still on effect 5? If so, change effect register and then try to reload. Sony has a safety that blocks loading a register if you are on that register. I believe there is an Auto Store function, forget where it is located. Sorry, been a while since I have been on the Sony.
