Cueing Fast Forward with a macro

On the Kalypso I've always cued the Fast Forward with a timeline, and then maybe a macro to recall that emem. Is there a way to cue the FFW with a macro only without recalling an emem? I'm just looking to break old habits if there are better ways to do things.

Matt, I have used macros to change source patching as well. Bob E has posted about some limitations in previous threads but so far I haven't noticed anything evil about using a macro to control a menu function. Bob's quote below:
If you're going to build a macro that will change all of the parameters, remember that macros won't recognize a double-press of any button. Therefore doing a double-MOD won't be recognized as a Mod All. However, in the Timeline Edit menu, there is a menu button for Mod All, both as a relative change and as an absolute change.

Been a while since I've been on a Kalypso, so I thought I'd ask for a refresher: can you macro menu functions, or just panel functions?
Yep. It will press the same buttons, enter the same values you do on the menu as it does on the panel (as far as I've tried).
Mongo, there is only the clean feed off Pgm/Pst. The show was not graphics intensive so all I did was was to use the DSK's for my Duet.
Cheater. ; )

I'm pretty sure you can't get a clean feed out of a Zodiak the same way you'd get one out of a Kalypso. A crude way to do it would be to bus link your M/E PGM's to aux's and then re-enter those aux's into the switcher (the EIC would need to do this for you I believe). So what I've done is linked M/E 1 A to aux 7, M/E 2 A to aux 8, and PGM (M/E 3 I guess it would be) to aux 9 (your clean feed). On the PGM bus link, set substitutions so when you punch M/E 1 on line, it punches the aux 7 re-entry down aux 9 and when M/E 2 is online, it punches the aux 8 re-entry down aux 9. Yes you don't get a dissolve but it's down and dirty and it works.
I did a show on a Zodiak that needed a clean feed. Not knowing if I would need to replay with or without graphics I did what Mongo described. It was almost like using a Kayak.
How did you set that up? I use a Zodiak a lot, and I've never found a good way to get a clean feed out of it.

Thanks, Mongo. That should have been obvious since I play it from that menu...

In the PBus menu, enter the number of the register you want in the register recall area, then hit "Test Recall". Pause a second or so, then have it play.
