Just a Little 3K put ?

I've been having issues with put when trying to copy from one bank to another. For example I've got a TL in register 04 and want it to be put into 14. Why can I only perform these functions within the same bank. I have no problem when TL 04 is put into 05. I've been using the Disk as a work around but it is a pain. Is there a trick here or am I just missing something?

On the 3k and 4k to copy to a different bank you would not use the BANK 1 button, you would hit 1 4 ENTER. To PUT the same TL to register 34, you would PUT 3 4 ENTER.
