My station has an 8k and I use keyer snapshots for quick transition changes for lower thirds in sports. In the menu, there's a TRANS ON and TRANS OFF choice. The problem is, the TRANS OFF is grayed out. Is this an extra feature my switcher doesn't have? I'd like to DME the key on and Mix the key off all by using the AUTO TRANS button in the Independent Key control area. I've seen this done on a training DVD. They were demonstrating the 8000G. Perhaps that's why my transition won't work.

Any thoughts?
