Hello friends. Long time first time.. love the site.. etc...

This might be an easy one for somebody, but I'm stumped bigtime. I think I'm looking for a specific frame mem menu on our 8000-G that I can't find. Somehow our frame mem settings have been changed and 6 of our 8 frame mems are locked in black. Can't drop anything in them. It makes things difficult because we use 3 sets of key pairs in our 8 FMs, but I currently don't even have one pair that are both working that I can use.

I obviously checked to make sure the lock wasn't on, and it's not. The output setting (I think) on the frame mem is just set to black, but I can't seem to find the menu in the panel to change it. Any suggestions? This has been the latest in some kinda unusual switcher behavior for us over the past 5 or 6 days. Nobody claims to have changed anything, but this is what we've been stuck with for the past 48 hours or so.

The two that work has this displayed next to them in the FM menu:
Out:Fil
FG: FMS
BG: Stil

The six that don't have this:
Out:Blk
Fg:FMS
BG:Blk

Guess I just don't know how to find the menu to fix those. Thanks in advance, folks.
Wes

Wes, We've run into similar problems with our 8000G's. We've noticed this happens if you have a frame mem channel locked and then load a setup without unlocking the frame mem channels first. It's like the switcher forgets they exist. In order to get them back, you need to reboot the switcher (ENG Setup/System/Initialize). Highlight SWR1, hit the reset button under "initialize" and then hit the execute button. Just make sure you have your stills saved to the hard drive because you'll lose them from the FM in the reboot process. Hope this helps. -Allan
