We just got our 8000-g and the senior td wanted to set independent trans rates.
mix-10 frames
pst color white flash-5 frames
wipe and dme-30 frames

so far i made three macros for the three trans rates and accordingly post macro attached them to the mix/pst color mix/wipe/dme buttons on program/preview.

i quickly realized that if i post macro attached them to the mix/pst color mix/wipe/dme controls on on the me's-1/2/3 i could burn myself if i were wiping on p/p then chose to dme on m/e3, by pressing dme on m/e3 all of my trans rates would change. including my wipes on p/p.

my solution was to create 12 macros. 3 for the different rates on the me's and p/p (to keep it local). please tell me there is a simpler solution!

regards,
justin

Why not just use snapshots on each M/E...with xpt holds so that sources don't change? The snapshots will keep everything local & you won't be burning macros.
