keyspan adapter

I use a keyspan adapter for the Lance controller however I recently encounter a truck where I can't get the keyspan and their cable to work into my laptop. Not quite certain what's different but I can tell you: I've been using this adapter for several years, it works on other trucks and their cable works directly into their truck laptop. I have a Macbook Pro and am using the Mac side however it hasn't worked in the PC side either. Thoughts?
I recently bought a new USB to serial adapter at a local CompUSA (Now owned by Tiger Direct)I don't remember anything specific on it for Mac, but I bought it because it had a DB-9 connector instead of the DIN connectors. When I plugged it into my MacBook it was imediately recognized and it worked for what I was doing at the time. If I could find it right now, I would tell you the brand, but I suspect that a lot of these things will work with the stock drivers that come with the MacOS.Not sure what's up with the Keyspan. I've got one of those too, but I haven't used it in years. I'd send it to you if you need it. Scott Thomas
