Does anyone know if there is Menu on PC software available for the Kayenne? If available, is there a frame emulator to work with it?

I tried to download the v1.5.2 software from GV FTP site, but I got an error.

Thanks

Warren

If the Kayenne frame sim works like the Kalypso frame sim, then inside the Kayenne software you need to tell it that the IP of the frame is 127.0.0.1
Good luck!

Last week ended well, I worked on the dual side of 10HDX and got through the show. Thanks to David Gillaspy, Mike Dant and a couple of other very helpful staff at Grass Valley.  I'm very sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  I'm sorry I didn't get to know him very well, but his willingness to help me no mater how silly or basic the question was beyond compare.  Meet as many people and make as many friends as possible in life as you never know what tomorrow may bring.  I wish the best to his family and friends. :)You must run 1.5 menu and simm if you want to preload your suite prefs on a laptop.  Any mismatch errors will cause it not to work.  After a couple of calls to Grass they got me underway with the menu simm.   I got my switcher mapped, wrote some meaningless macro's like putting linear BLK into the bug and some other time sucking stuff.  Any way it saved me probably an hour of preproduction time on site and since my plane was cancelled and I showed up to work an hour late it came in real handy. The biggest challenge that I had on the switcher was that the source hold was not working.  For those that don't know this one is the 1.5ME panel dual suite set up. Key cross points held okay and whether they were on or off, but the neither the program preset or ME1 cross point source hold would work in any timeline either on the Master Emem or individual stripe Emem.   The EIC Mark acknowledged that this had been a complaint from the previous couple of guys on that side of the truck, but nothing had been done about it.  This little problem cost me my lunch, but with the help of a bunch of macros, I got through it.I thought the OLED's were really cool.  I could even read them from my crunched position between the Hyper brain and the door to engineering.  1000 macro's!! Come on that's great.  And 1.5 ME's with double take is a huge improvement to the usual Kalypso Dual set up.  With any luck I'll get the chance to work on a Keyenne again soon. Thanks again for all the helpGreg

I got it to work! I just had a problem getting into the FTP site from my web browser. Using a FTP client was the solution.

There is a Kayenne Frame & Menu Simms folder on the ftp site. Be sure you are not loading the actual switcher software. The simm is for version 1.5 I have had no issues running this on my WINDOWS laptop with XP.

http://www.grassvalley.com/rnt/Switcher/switcher_kayenne3.htm will get you the simm. .. just downloaded it.  Can anyone walk me thru putting a fake IP address in there so I can dig thru some menus?  Do I need a specific EIC login like with a Kalypso?

I too have gotten the error on both the Vista box and the XP machine. Ahh, fun. Funny thing is that I saw someone who was running it on an Aplle laptop, using XP. Not sure if it was Bootcamp or VMWare or what method of dual booting.

I have gotten the menu and frame simm to run fine but the screen size is all messed up.  How do you adjust the output of the menu so it fills the screen and you can see all of the menu.
