Hi All, I've imported stills before from our GFX dept on memory sticks with no probs, (TIF Files) but sometimes we have errors saying 'Illegal format.'
Is there a set formula that the stills have to be in for the desk to accept them?  Basically looking for advice to pass on to Graphics so that all stills can be transferred easily!
And yes, I know the quickest and easiest way is to record or grab directly into the desk, I try to do this every time!

cheers
Si

Thanks, I always try to grab, but every so often a director walks up to me with a memory stick saying, "here's the stills for the show!"

Palm them off to the Chyron operator to import and grab them of there.We are lucky that the device we use for our clip transitions sits on the network and has access to the GFX folder so we just cue them up and grab the key and fill.One lesson I learnt early was not to use System Manager, it just seems to never work properly for me.

Here's what I found that works:
1080i = 1920x1080
720p=1280x720
Standard NTSC = 720x480
NTSC Widescreen = 872x486
Standard PAL = 720x576
