Weird Chroma Key behaviour

One of our 8000G's starting to have some odd behaviour, the Frame Memories seem to be getting corrupt and requiring a frame reboot and import back off the external HDD and to top that off the Chroma Key is starting to act weird. On ME2 K1 the Chroma Key is not super imposing the selection box over the video, however if you use any of the other keys on that ME all works fine.
Does anybody have any ideas what is going on?
What happens if you set up a CK on M/E 2 key 2...then copy it to Key 1? Does the CK work, or not at all?
Wondering if the ext HDD copy you are restoring from is good or not. Do you have any other partitions on the ext HDD you could reload and test with? Thinking if you load something else and it is ok that maybe your partition got corrupt. Maybe after doing a frame reboot, load some new files ( from the FMS inputs) and save those to a fresh partition. Then reload that partition to see if it goes corrupt.
You mentioned "one of our 8000 G's"..so I am guessing you are at a big facility...and maybe getting down time is tough, so the above might not be feasible.
what rev of software are you on? One thought...and I have no idea if this make a difference...are you appending or replacing your restore from the ext HDD? Wondering if you are appending if this is messing things up. Thought is it is loading on top of, instead of wiping then loading I believe.

One of the registires is causing all the keyers on ME2 to not have the sample mark supered when selected. ME1 is working fine. Is there a setting that can disable the marks that I might have disabled??
I was under the assumption that when ever you load from the ext HDD it wipes what ever is there and then loads. I didn't know you could append.
We have two 8000G's and a 9000. We have plenty of down time, I better put that another day, we have plenty of time to perform maintanance and build things. I'll try to load the registry again and see if it has the same problem.
Version 8 allows you to append or replace in the FM backup-restore, whether from the Ext HDD, or I believe the DDR method.
Just a shot in the dark. Are you upgraded to ver 9 on your G frames...? Heard of an issue on the G frame only where the FM's go corrupt after 48 hrs...and have to reload...
Yes..good call on not saying you " have plenty of down time!"...Never know who reads this site!
We are still on 7.22, Sony Australia wouldn't let us upgrade to version 8, never found out why. I ask our Engineering department when I hear a new version is available if we can upgrade and they double check with Sony. Is V810_2 the current version? That's the latest I have seen on the FTP site.
I haven't had a chance to test further I shall get back to you all when I do

What is your Frame Memory doing that forces you to reload it? For us, it looked like each output had severe artifacting, you'd lose all luminance, and would eventually affect anything you tried to capture as well as recall.
After a few years and many, many reboots, we replaced the FM card to find that the same problem came back. The solution was replacing the backplane element of the FM card. It was suggested to us that some of the connections on the original card may have had some bad solder joints.
