I think I'm going to be in a truck on the weekend that has a MVS-6000, I've only used an 8000g.

Has anybody used both and can give me some tips. It looks like an 8000 with a joint key/region block how exactly do you use it?

Cheers,

Punching out the show isn't the issue its re-creating the show and rebuilding it. Once we are actualy on-air most of my work will already be done.

Its meant to be 2.5ME, how exactly does that work?

As I recall, you'll only have 2 keyers per M/E - certainly only 2 DSK's.

The Flexipad has grown and has added knobs to take the place of a couple of the dedicated modules, such as the keyer / DME module.  So you'll have to switch between modes to get to different functions (much like you have to do on a Kayak panel without the Side Panel).

You'll also see limitations in how you allocate the DME channels and to what keyers (much like the 5th & 6th keyers on a Kayenne).

But if you know an 8000 you can punch your way through a 6000.
