After upgrading from 7.22 to v9 the internal delay between cue up and playback doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm having to manually place a pause between the cue up and the play, something I didn't have to do in v7.22.

Has anybody found a solution for this? Its painful to put a 10frame delay and then have to check evey transition to make sure the timing is still right.

Have you tried checking the Serial Port Settings (menu 7355.2)? This may have an effect on your cueup times. It may be possible that the settings got goofed up when you upgraded.

I had a quick look but I'l have a further look tomorrow. What's concerning is that Sony Australia are the ones that informed me about when they upgraded the system. I'm guessing its not just a goofed up setting because they are telling everyone to put pauses between VDCP cue up and play in macros. Over here we use VDCP to control all of our Spotboxes or Digistore RTD's that are what mostly used for clip transitions and always with macros. I've never understood why you guys use Lance controllers over there.

At least for us sports guys it's because some days we see a GVG 3K, another day a Kalypso. On the third day, it might be a Sony 8K. The 3K's aren't that common now, but I have cut several women's college basketball games on one this season.

There was one client who used an 8K and Spotbox. At first they used VDCP but then their home TD asked for and got a Lance because of loop issues on the 8K.
