Anyone using a new Mac Book Pro with windows 7 and the Kalypso Menu software? I'm looking into getting a new laptop and would like to get a Mac Book Pro but I'm not sure if the Menu software will work or if I should just go with a smaller Netbook.

Thanks,

Toby

I also have a MacBook Pro running Parallels but use XP. It runs on Kalypso menu and connects to the frame with no issues. Not sure why Mike is having a problem. I also use Transmit to FTP directly into the Still Store frame to transfer stills. It's fast and efficient.

Rick, I thought you had issues with your Mac Book Pro. I have to try this again. What version Parallels and OS X are you running?

Hi Mike:

I'm running Parallels version 5 and OX 10.6.7 now.

All was fine but it was a little tricky in the beginning.

I am using a Mac Book Pro with Windows 7 and the menu software works fine.  You need Parallels or Boot camp to run Windows on the mac, but once you set that up you should have no problems.

I have a Mac Book Pro, running XP via Parallels and can't get the menu software to talk to a switcher. The software runs no issue, but will not connect to the frame.

It's not  windows 7 as far as I know, it is the 64bit verfsion. I run W7-64 on a PC but only Version 3 menus or newer are compiled for a 64 bit platform. I don't think GV will retrospectively re-compile the older versions. John
