Kalypso Macro editing with Kayenne PC Software

Hi Guys,
Has anyone attempted this at all...
Saving a macro from a kalypso and seeing if you can edit it on the Kayenne PC frame emulator/menu software?
I had a play with the Kayenne software and it seems as if the macro format may be the same but I don't have access to a Kalypso (Just yet) to check it out.

Yes - it sort of works, but there are some gotchas.
You have to be sure not to add any Kayenne specific functions to avoid frame problems in the Kalypso - so sticking to the functions you recorded, moving their order and adding or editing delays seems fine.
You have to use a text editor to fix the "header" so that the Kalypso recognises the macro as a Kalypso file. Look at both macros and you will see a section which ends <BEGIN> - that's the bit to fix.
You need to run the Kayenne frame sim or be connected to a Kayenne frame to load and edit macros. There is a way to set any frame sim to run in 50 or 60 hertz by adding a "-x" to a shortcut to it and reading the choices in the start up, The sims default to 60 hertz if you don't do this.
It is my guess that this is a totally "at your own risk" type of operation - and if you crash your frame that's just too bad.

It can be done but it has been a while since I was shown how to do this. I don't know if Grass offically recognizes that this work around works and what Grass would say if you asked them.
