Is any one using the NFS file share found on page 7311 or 7311.99 to access a networked drive?

Please share you comments and how you got it working. I am working on a old MVS-8000 and need to have this feature working, so any help would be grateful.

PS: I have already tried to define the mount point but get an error to check the ip.

Mandy,

Thanks for the reply. We have a linux pc already connected and have a have a share setup, but I can not get the GUI to see the NAS. I keep on getting a IP not found error. What do I need to change to get either way working? Do I need to edit the fstab? auto.master?

Hi Mike

NFS server works really well.

Not sure how you are trying to get it working but I know of two ways to configure it, but there may be others. The first is using a Windows XP  machine and downloading Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 onto it. This is a free download from microsoft. The other way is to use a NAS box which works with both linux and windows.
