I'm not sure my board is set up correctly, but I can't seem to get GPIs to fire on my MVS-8000.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

GPI's can come from the Switcher Panel's SCU, from the Switcher Frame itself, or from the Device Control Unit.  Make sure that the wires that you connect to any of these places match where you are trying to control the GPI and the manner in which you wantto fire the GPI's.  If you are wiring GPI's from the Panel's connectors, use menu page 7325.3 to set them up.  If you are wiring them from the switcher, use menu page 7337.4.  If you are driving the GPI's from the DCU (or wanttriggers via panel buttons), use meu page 7354.

GPI triggers will happen differently depending on where you wire the GPI's.  Panel-wired GPI's get triggered by recalling Keyer snapshots.   Switcher-wired GPI's get triggered by various functions associated with recalling functions/sources/snapshots on each M/E.  DCU-wired GPI's are those that get triggered via timelines - if you're trying to fire a GPI based on keyframes, use the DCU-wired GPI's.
