I'm sure this has been asked before, but the search function apparently doesn't work anymore.

I saved a keyable in Photoshop as a Targa, complete with an alpha channel. However, when I import it, the graphic is a full-screen non-keyable.

What am I doing wrong?

thanks

The only thing I could think of is that you saved it as a 24bit Targa not a 32bit targa. 24bit is without an alpha, even if you have one in Photoshop it won't be saved.

I've had the same thing happen, always figured I was doing something wrong in Photoshop.  As a work-around, I just exported separate video and key TGA files, and did a "pair recombination" in the Sony FM after importing.
